Powersport Share Platform Policies

Welcome to Powersport Share, a platform connecting hosts with guests for renting powersport vehicles. This document outlines the policies and standard operating procedures to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all users.

General Policies

Registration and Account Creation

  • All users must create an account to access the platform.
  • Users must provide accurate and up-to-date information during registration.
  • All users on the platform must be over the age of 21.
  • During the account onboarding process, Powersport Share will verify the user's identity via Stripe Identity.
  • Users will be unable to perform any actions such as listing or renting a vehicle until their account has been fully set up.

User Roles and Responsibilities

  • Guests are responsible for adhering to Powersport Share policies, host policies, and treating rented vehicles with care.
  • Hosts are responsible for adhering to Powersport Share policies, providing accurate listings, maintaining vehicles, and communicating effectively with guests.

Booking and Reservation Process

Guests can browse listings and make reservations based on availability. Reservations must be confirmed by hosts within a specified timeframe (48 hours). Failure to confirm a booking within the 48 hour timeframe will result in an auto decline.

Payment and Fees

  • Payment for reservations is processed securely through the platform via Stripe.
  • All users must have a valid credit card on file.
  • Powersport Share collects a 20% platform fee on all transactions that take place within the platform.
  • Service fees and any additional charges must be clearly communicated to users.

Service fees and additional charges may include, but are not limited to:

  • Late return - 1.5x daily rental cost (per day the rental vehicle isn't returned to the owner)
  • Fuel replenishment fee (if any) - Determined by host
  • Cleaning fee (if any) - Determined by host
  • Over mileage limit fee (if any) - Determined by host
  • Damaged vehicle - Cost determined during claim process
  • Lost keys - Cost determined during claim process

Host Policies and Procedures

Listing Creation and Management

  • Hosts must provide accurate and detailed descriptions of their vehicles.
  • Listings should include clear photos, specifications, and any relevant rules or restrictions.
  • Hosts must provide accurate, up-to-date information regarding the vehicle's registration and insurance.

Communication with Guests

  • Hosts should respond promptly to inquiries and reservation requests.
  • Clear communication regarding pickup instructions, availability, and any special requirements is essential.

Vehicle Inspection and Maintenance

  • Hosts are responsible for ensuring that their vehicles are in good working condition.
  • Regular maintenance and safety inspections are encouraged.

Guest Policies and Procedures

Booking a Powersport Vehicle

  • Guests should review listings carefully and ensure that the vehicle meets their needs.
  • Booking requests should be made with sufficient lead time to allow for confirmation.
  • The booking duration must be at least 1 day.

Vehicle Pickup and Return

  • Guests must pick up and return vehicles on time and in the condition specified by the host.
  • Guests must have a proper truck and trailer capable of hauling the rental vehicle unless stated otherwise by the host.
  • Any damage or issues should be reported immediately to the host and platform support.

Vehicle Usage Guidelines

  • Guests must adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations while operating rented vehicles.
  • Any misuse or reckless behavior may result in penalties or account suspension.

Reporting Issues or Incidents

  • Guests should report any accidents, damage, or safety concerns to the host and platform support.
  • Documentation and evidence may be required for resolution purposes.

Community Guidelines

Users are expected to treat each other with respect and courtesy at all times. Discriminatory or offensive behavior will not be tolerated.

Account Deletion

To delete your account, please submit a request through our support team. Our team will verify your identity and process the deletion within 5-7 business days.
